Uncompromising. Unconventional.

Leland Grove Law is a civil practice law firm serving business organizations and individuals in Chicago and the surrounding communities. Our founders, John Shonkwiler and Stacey Shonkwiler, built Leland Grove Law based on over 40 years of experience in government and private practice, and an idea that quality always matters. Our pledge is to provide smart, honest and passionate legal representation to every client, in every case.

We have been trial lawyers and business counsel to individuals, startups, family businesses and multinational corporations. Unlike the larger firms we compete with, we are not tied to the billed hour convention or beholden to any profits-per-partner statistics. We offer a variety of contingent, hourly and fixed fee arrangements, and we are committed to finding a sensible, cost-effective approach that fits your case or transaction.

Whether you are considering litigation, have been sued, need documents drafted or just want to consult with a lawyer, we will help you understand your options, identify any opportunities or challenges and choose your best course of action.
